When using two conventional LM Guide units facing each other, it would take a long time to machine the table, and it was difficult to achieve the desired accuracy and adjust the clearance.
With the Model HSR-YR and Model HSR-YR, the tapped holes on the side of the LM block simplify the structure, which drastically reduces labour time and increases accuracy.
Additional Sealing and Preloads
Standard THK linear bearings can be upgraded with alternative preload grades or additional sealing to suit your specific application requirements.
Preload Options
- Standard - no preload applied, suitable for general-purpose applications where low running resistance is the priority
- C1 - Light Preload - light preload applied, running slightly stiffer than standard, improving rigidity and reducing play where a degree of positional accuracy is required
- C0 - Medium Preload - heavier preload than C1, running stiffer again, ideal for applications demanding higher rigidity and minimal internal play
Additional Sealing Options
- ZZ - Metal End Shields - light metal contact shields providing basic protection against dust and debris
- DD - Rubber Contact Seals - full rubber lip seals offering enhanced protection in environments with higher contamination risk
- KK - Combined Double Seal - combines a rubber contact seal (DD) and a metal scraper (ZZ), providing maximum ingress protection for demanding or contaminated environments
- QZ - Grease Retaining Seals - designed to retain lubrication within the bearing for extended re-greasing intervals
- HH - Heavy Duty Wiper Seals - robust wipers for harsh environments where maximum ingress protection is required
